Institutional website

Company: Roná Comunicação

When: 2022

My role: I was responsible for research (desk research and benchmarking), creation of the style guide, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes, as well as UX writing and handoff to development.

the challenge

To launch the first website for the company to attract new clients

Roná Comunicação is a young and modern communication agency that works with clients from a lot of markets. Until then, they did'nt have a website and all of the clients were coming from recommendation or Instagram. The challenge here was to create a website that wasn't just institutional or a service showcase, but that was also a mirror of the brand, that presents itself as modern, light and young.

PROJECTS AND RESULTS

research

The first step was to hold a kick-off meeting with the agency's leadership to understand the business objectives for the project. Once our goals were aligned — reaching more companies and enabling meeting bookings through the website — I conducted benchmarking research to analyze how competitor agencies communicated on their websites. I also reviewed the visual references shared by the CEO to guide the aesthetic direction of the project.

wireframes

After gathering insights and market references, I created the wireframes, focusing on what the agency wanted to highlight: modernity, lightness, and clarity.

I also designed the site flow and a style guide featuring the new brand colors.

These goals are reflected in the design, with rounded components and curved elements across all screens.

prototypes

Once the wireframes were approved, it was time to bring the prototypes to life using components from the style guide and professional photos provided by the CEO.

All copywriting was revised and tailored to attract other businesses.

In addition to the static prototype and site flow, I also delivered an interactive prototype, which helped validate the concept internally. This step was crucial for fast project approval.

handoff

The entire process was documented in Figma, including the style guide, to make it easier for the developer to bring the design decisions into practice.

The interactive prototype also played a key role in helping the development team understand the behavior of each component, resulting in a final product that was richer in detail and microinteractions, such as button states and transitions.

block & difficulties

Short time to discovery

The company had a shor time to build and launch the new website, that was linked to a video documentary launch - produced by Roná. Despite all that, the CEO knew that the design process was important and the impact of a good design on their first website. With that said, they invested on UX and UI design thinking of having a great website and offering the best experience for their clientes and visitants. Even though we had little time for this project, with everyone's collaboration and a detailed refining work, the results were beyond positive.
